Loutrophoros-hydria decorated in the black-figure technique. It was found in 1957 in the Sanctuary of the Nymphe in fragments and was pieced together.

On the neck of the vase a woman dressed in peplos and himation is depicted standing between two Sphinxes that are facing each other. Similar Sphinxes cover one of the sides of the loutrophoros’ body, while the other one is filled with birds. Below this scene a black band and rays decorate the vase whereas its rim and base are accentuated with black paint. Additional red and white colour was used to emphasise details on the various figures.
